Hello,

I am by no means an expert but sometimes ensuring the basics are right is a good start!

Try a new glow plug- might have suffered when the engine was bedding in. If that doesn't solve the problem having a spare glowplug is a sound investment!

Maybe the low end needle is too lean? Try opening it up a little.

I have heard that the oil/petrol mix needs a couple of weeks to mix well.

Do you have a spinner? The additional mass might help low end smoothness.

I have one of these engines waiting for use (2small children so very little time at the moment!) so I will be monitoring this thread with interest. Good luck.

Thanks for everyone's concern. I only told the Norvel site I was a UK resident (full address not necessary to register and I only like giving away the bare necessary information). I forgot to complete it before taking an order.

The Paypal account was fine- had the full address but I guess this did not marry up with the partial address on Paypal.

Anyhow, all resolved, I'm a happy camper. Lets use this forum to discuss moving parts rather than admin!

So, with any luck I will receive my engine for Christmas :) I have heard the instructions are good and I will follow them absolutely including allowing the oil to "dissolve" in the Petrol for a week. Once the engine is run in (how long/ml?) I intend putting the engine in a 7lb plane. I am familiar with Glow, in reality does this engine perform like a "strong .46?" I think the petrol has more torque? I am limited to 10 maybe 11" prop but am not averse to using a three bladed one. Anyhow, perhaps over simplifying things but once broken in is this a strong glow 46 with better torque?

Many thanks, Goldenduff

Ha ha! I completed the registration form (only put country before hand). I am no longer dubious and could have the engine by Christmas!!

Hello,

I have now updated my details on your website. When I registered it said only the country was necessary. I forgot to complete this when I later went to make an order.

I have looked at my Paypal account and it all looks to be in order....

I am going to try another order if that is okay?

Thanks

Thanks for information. When I registered on the site it said only country was necessary. I shall update it. I have used the paypal address for years with no problem. I shall check that it is as complete as can be.

Once I have done that will you accept the order?

Thanks

Hello and thanks for responding,

May I enquire what is dubious about me? I paid via paypal immediately and then sent an email asking when I might expect the engine (had hoped to get it for Christmas).

Regards Adam

Hello, did you receive your engine? I placed an order and had it cancelled and refunded. Are they no longer in production?

thanks,
